Charles Leclerc’s signature watch is the Richard Mille RM 72-01 Charles Leclerc, a 150-piece white Quartz TPT automatic flyback chronograph that Richard Mille released in 2025. Before it, his name was attached to the RM 67-02 Extra Flat, a unique prototype built for the 2021 Only Watch charity auction.
Quick answer Leclerc wears Richard Mille, the official watch partner of Scuderia Ferrari since 2021. His own edition is the RM 72-01 Charles Leclerc (150 pieces, reportedly about $300,000 to $330,000 at retail), with a white case and red accents nodding to Monaco’s flag. He has also been linked to a Patek Philippe Nautilus and a Hublot Big Bang, though no reference numbers are confirmed.
Charles Leclerc’s Richard Mille RM 72-01
The RM 72-01 Charles Leclerc appeared in May 2025 without a big launch campaign. Leclerc had reportedly been wearing it at races for several weeks, including the Bahrain Grand Prix, before Richard Mille confirmed the edition. The white case and red details echo the red-and-white flag of Monaco, his hometown.
It is built on the RM 72-01 Lifestyle In-House Chronograph, the same platform Richard Mille used for Lando Norris’s McLaren edition. Reports describe a case of roughly 38.4 mm wide, 47.3 mm lug to lug and about 11.7 mm thick, which is compact by Richard Mille standards.

Retail figures differ between outlets, so treat them as approximate. As with most Richard Mille limited editions, pieces go mainly to existing clients, so the practical route for most collectors is the pre-owned market.
The Ferrari and Richard Mille connection
Leclerc’s watch story is tied to his team. Ferrari announced on 22 February 2021 that Richard Mille had signed a multi-year deal as the Official Watch and a Team Partner of Scuderia Ferrari. The agreement also covered a collaboration on limited-edition watches. Reporting in 2026 still lists Richard Mille as Ferrari’s watch partner.

Leclerc’s teammate Lewis Hamilton, who joined Ferrari in 2025, is also in the Richard Mille stable. His Ferrari-themed RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph is a team piece rather than a personal signature edition. For the other end of the paddock’s Richard Mille roster, see our guide to Lando Norris’s Richard Mille RM 72-01 and McLaren editions.
The RM 67-02 Leclerc prototype and the stolen watch
The first watch to carry his name was the RM 67-02 Charles Leclerc prototype, shown in October 2021 for the Only Watch charity auction. It used a white and red Quartz TPT case measuring roughly 47 mm by 39 mm, weighed about 32 grams, and was powered by the ultra-thin automatic CRMA7 caliber. The pre-sale estimate was CHF 270,000 to 330,000, and the winner also received Monaco Grand Prix hospitality with Ferrari.
Later reports put the hammer price at CHF 2.1 million, far above the estimate. That sum went to charity research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy through Only Watch.
In April 2022, a signed, custom RM 67-02 was taken from Leclerc’s wrist as he stopped for photos with fans in Viareggio, Italy, shortly before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Reported values vary widely, from about $320,000 to roughly 2 million euros, so we do not give a single figure. Italian media later reported arrests connected to the theft, but we could not confirm that the watch was recovered.
Other watches Leclerc has been seen wearing
Leclerc owns more than the Richard Mille pieces. Some of these identifications come from a single magazine feature or a social post, so we mark them as reported.
- Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time: listed in a 2026 South China Morning Post profile of his collection. No reference number was confirmed.
- Hublot Big Bang MECA-10 Black Magic: named in the same profile, again without a verified reference.
- Richard Mille RM 61-01: a Time+Tide watchspotting roundup said a watch on his Instagram “looks to be” this model, which was originally made for sprinter Yohan Blake in an edition of 150. This is a visual guess, not a confirmation.
Some aggregator sites also credit him with a Rafael Nadal tourbillon or an RM UP-01 Ferrari. We could not find a reliable source for either, so we leave them out. If you want that style of watch, our Rafael Nadal Richard Mille RM 27 guide covers the tourbillon family.
Why Leclerc’s Richard Mille choice matters
Richard Mille has become the default watch of the F1 paddock. Red Bull Racing sits with TAG Heuer, and our Max Verstappen watch guide covers that side of the grid. Ferrari and McLaren both run with Richard Mille.
Leclerc’s pieces are also unusually light. Quartz TPT and carbon composites keep the RM 67-02 prototype around 32 grams, and Richard Mille markets the whole approach as racing-car engineering for the wrist. That is why the brand’s drivers can race in watches that would be unthinkable in a conventional gold case.
Affordable alternatives to Leclerc’s Richard Mille
You will not get a Richard Mille on a normal budget, but the look is easy to approximate. Pick a lightweight, high-contrast watch with a white or red palette.

Casio G-Shock GA-2100 series
The slim octagonal G-Shock has a carbon-reinforced resin case and is very light. At roughly $100 to $150, it delivers the shock-proof, technical feel that drivers favor.
Seiko Prospex Speedtimer
If you want a chronograph, a Seiko Speedtimer solar chronograph costs roughly $400 to $700 and has a clean racing layout. See our titanium versus stainless steel guide for the case materials that keep sporty watches light.
