Max Verstappen’s watch is a TAG Heuer, most often the Monaco Chronograph, including one-of-one titanium Monaco pieces TAG Heuer built for him with his racing number and world-title stars. The Swiss brand is still Oracle Red Bull Racing’s official watch partner in 2026, and this October it released a Red Bull-themed Formula 1 Solargraph for the partnership’s tenth anniversary.
Quick answer Verstappen wears TAG Heuer, headlined by the Monaco Chronograph (the Skeleton ref. CBL2182.FT6235 and custom one-offs). TAG Heuer became Red Bull Racing’s watch partner in 2016 and, contrary to some older reports, the deal is still running in 2026. He has also been seen in a Carrera Chronograph in yellow gold and a TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1. Claims about Rolex and Patek models come only from aggregator sites.
Max Verstappen’s Watch: The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph
TAG Heuer’s official magazine shows Verstappen wearing the Monaco Chronograph Skeleton, ref. CBL2182.FT6235, when the brand launched the line for the 80th Monaco Grand Prix in 2023. For that race, TAG Heuer also made him a personalized one-of-one Monaco with a blue-accented skeleton dial, a sub-register showing his number 1, and two stars on the caseback for his 2021 and 2022 titles.
Later versions followed. In 2024 the brand presented a personalized Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, and an updated version with four stars was seen ahead of the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, reflecting his four straight championships from 2021 to 2024.

TAG Heuer, Red Bull and Verstappen: Where Things Stand in 2026
TAG Heuer became Red Bull Racing’s watch partner in 2016, the year Verstappen won his first Grand Prix. Robb Report has reported that he has been a TAG Heuer brand ambassador since then, and a lot of his watches are signature editions or gifts from the brand. We could not find an official 2026 statement spelling out his personal contract, so treat the ambassador label as reported.

The team deal itself is current. Gear Patrol reported on October 12, 2026, that TAG Heuer is an official partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing, and that the Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing marks ten years of partnership. It is a 38 mm steel solar-quartz watch that goes on sale October 20 for $2,250. TAG Heuer has also been Formula 1’s Official Timekeeper since the 2025 season, per Haute Time.
TAG Heuer’s history with the sport runs deep: Haute Time notes it was the first watch brand to sponsor an F1 team, in 1971, and that it held the Official Timekeeper role from 1992 to 2003 before reclaiming it in 2025. Verstappen is the most prominent face of that heritage on the grid today.
Other Watches Verstappen Has Worn
Carrera Chronograph in yellow gold
Oracle of Time photographed Verstappen in a 39 mm yellow gold Carrera Chronograph at a pre-season event in 2026, a rare dressy choice for a driver best known for sporty Monacos.
TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1
At the Miami Grand Prix in May 2024, Robb Report spotted the 35 mm TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1 (ref. WA121J.BT0012), a streetwear collaboration. See the heritage side of the brand in our Heuer 2915A story with John Glenn.
Signature Formula 1 editions
TAG Heuer has released Max Verstappen special editions of its Formula 1 chronograph, including a 2017 edition and a 1,300-piece limited edition in 2018, according to Watchonista coverage. The Carrera “Jack Heuer” in 18k rose gold, limited to 188 pieces, has also been listed among his watches by Athlon Sports.
Rolex and Patek claims
Some sites credit Verstappen with a platinum Rolex Daytona ref. 116505 and a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph ref. 5968G. We could not trace either to a reliable outlet, so we do not count them as confirmed. If you want a confirmed look at the brand, see our TAG Heuer Link article.
Why Verstappen Wears Monaco
The square-cased Monaco dates to 1969 and was worn by Steve McQueen in the 1971 racing film Le Mans, which is why TAG Heuer treats it as a motorsport icon. Verstappen’s blue titanium Monaco echoes the original blue 1969 model.

Verstappen finished the 2025 season second, two points behind Lando Norris, 421 to 423, so he enters 2026 as a four-time champion rather than reigning champion. For titanium case benefits, our titanium versus steel guide explains why TAG Heuer uses grade 2 titanium here.
Verstappen’s Watch Versus the Rest of the Grid
Verstappen is something of an outlier on the grid because his documented watches are almost all from one brand. For fans, that consistency makes his watch easy to identify: if it is on a podium, it is almost certainly a TAG Heuer. Haute Time’s 2026 partner list pairs Ferrari and McLaren with Richard Mille, Mercedes with IWC, Racing Bulls with Tudor and Aston Martin with Breitling, while Red Bull sits with TAG Heuer.
That loyalty has a price advantage for fans. The Monaco Skeleton launched at about $11,000, while the Richard Mille pieces worn elsewhere on the grid run to six figures or more. Compare it with another athlete’s choices in our piece on Stephen Curry’s Rolex watches, or browse the full TAG Heuer hub.
Affordable Watches Like Verstappen’s
You can wear the Verstappen look for far less than a Monaco. These are real, currently sold models:
- The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing costs $2,250 and is the brand’s own anniversary watch.
- The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer is a racing-styled chronograph with a panda-style dial.
- The Tissot PRX Chronograph brings an integrated-bracelet design in a chronograph that costs a fraction of a Monaco.
